Guns N’ Roses terminó de conquistar al mundo con la grandiosa “Paradise City”, lanzada como tercer sencillo del disco Appetite for destruction en el año 1988, convirtiéndose en un Clásico del Rock.

“Paradise City” tiene todo, un intro que te invita a cantar, unos riffs que te hacen mover la cabeza, excelentes solos de guitarra, una solida linea de bajo y la poderosa voz de Axl Rose para enmarcar los 6:49 minutos que dura la canción.
El video es simple y fue grabado durante la presentación de Guns N’Roses en el Estadio de los Giants, en Nueva Jersey y muestra aspectos como el soundcheck, concierto y cuando la banda toma el avión concorde que los llevó a Inglaterra a cumplir con el festival Monster of Rock.
La guitarra de Slash al igual que la voz de Axl son las dos armas poderosas y muy bien explotadas para llevar la canción a niveles de energía que sólo los clásicos del rock tienen, por su parte la letra de Axl habla de lo difícil que es la vida en la ciudad (todo mundo sabe que habla de Los Angeles, California) y de cómo te puede llevar de la pobreza a la riqueza.
En “Paradise City” encontramos arreglos de la guitarra de Slash por todos lados, desde el principio hasta el final no para de machacar las seis cuerdas magistralmente, terminando la canción con un solo de guitarra que, sin duda, ha dado muchos dolores de cabeza a los guitarristas que se proponen tocar la canción.
Los más desapercibidos en la canción son Izzy Stradlin, Duff Mc Kagan, Steven Adler, sin embargo son pieza clave para que sobresalga la voz de Axl y la guitarra líder de Slash.
